Picton is located on Queen Charlotte Sound, the largest of the 3 sounds that make up the Marlborough Sounds. It is the largest town (5000 residents) in the Marlborough Sounds.

Many people are familiar with it’s location as they pass through between the North and South Island on the inter-island ferry.

However, Picton has more to offer than just a stop-over for a cup of coffee before getting on the ferry.
